Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze met with family members of the deceased police officers, fallen during the August war of 2008 and spoke with them on various issues. The meeting was attended by family members of the deceased police officers from Tbilisi and other regions of the country. The Minister gifted family members of the deceased police officers with 500 GEL vouchers of technique shop and other presents.
As a result of the August war of 2008 14 police employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were killed.
