Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze is paying his first official visit to the Kingdom of Spain. Mr. Tchikaidze is accompanied by the Deputy Minister Mr. Archil Talakvadze, Director of the Department of International Relations Mr. Shalva Kvinixidze and the Director of the Department of Central Criminal Police Mr. Ivane Papiashvili.
Within the frames of the visit Minister will hold meeting with his Spanish colleague Mr. Jorge Fernandez Diaz – Minister of the Interior. At the meeting sides will sign “The Agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain on Cooperation in Fight against Crime”.
The mentioned agreement provides for the cooperation in the fight against crimes, such as: crimes against life, body and health, terrorism, drug-related crimes, illicit trafficking in firearms, trafficking in human beings and illegal migration, crimes against property, corruption, cybercrime, forgery, financial crimes and etc. The agreement envisages operative, as well as non-operative cooperation.
The visit will last until the 22th January.
