Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with Colonel General Petro Tsigikal, Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties have discussed close cooperation between the Georgian and Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. The Minister has introduced the ongoing reforms, carried out in the framework of “Systemic Upgrade” of the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting was also attended by Temur Kekelidze, Head of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Igor Dolgov, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has visited the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. Additionally, the parties signed the agreement about the cooperation among the Structural Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, responsible for the border security and the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine during 2019-2020.
