Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri, held a meeting with the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission, Marek Szczygieł, and Liasion Officer, Jacek Stochel.
The parties discussed the issue of creeping occupation on the territory of Georgia from the Russian side. The emphasis was made on illegal activities of the Russian Military Forces at the Administrative Border Line, including kidnaping of people, gender issues and challenges related to the free movement of Georgian citizens.
Within the framework of the meeting, the readiness of the Georgian side to assist the citizens living on the occupied territories in the fight against Covid-19 was underlined.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia expressed gratitude to the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) for the implemented activities and its strong support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
