Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze held meeting with students from Tbilisi State University. The meeting was held within the frames of anti-drug social campaign. Minister introduced details of the campaign to students which is aimed against using of synthetic drugs. Minister also provided answers to the students’ questions.
Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the social campaign on March 24. Aim of the campaign is the prevention of consumption of synthetic narcotics and informing public. Slogan of the campaign is –“Changing Attitude Together”. Doctors who participated in social videos inform public on threats and dangers of the so called bio drugs. Social videos were aired by TV channels and radios and shown at cinemas and disseminated in social networks.
With the frames of the campaign special informative video was also prepared by Emergency Response Center 112 by means of which society will receive information on first symptoms typical after using “bio” narcotics. Public will also receive information on inevitability to call ambulance after detecting first signs of bio drugs addiction.
Within the frames of the campaign Ministry of Internal Affairs announced contest for journalists for best work on the topic of “No to synthetic drugs”. Winners will be announced special jury in several nominations: best TV story, TV program, best radio story, best radio program, best article author. Those who are willing to participate in the contest will have to upload their materials on Facebook page during a month.
