The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Kakhaber Sabanadze attended the closing ceremony of the project – “Building Trust and Confidence between Police and Society”, which was held in video conference format.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Georgia – Maaike van Koldam and representatives of the Georgian Center for Strategy and Development (GCSD).
The participants discussed the activities implemented within the framework of the project and highlighted their importance in the capacity building of the Community Police Officers.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Kakhaber Sabanadze thanked the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Georgia for strengthening the capacity building of the Community Oriented Policing (COP) in Georgia and expressed readiness for future cooperation.
The project has been running since 2018 in close relationship with the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Georgia. It aims to enhance institutional development of Community Oriented Police.
