The modern, new and European-made "H 145" helicopter of the Border Police under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is already in Georgia.
Pilots of the Special Purpose Aviation Division of the Border Police delivered the helicopter from Germany to Georgia.
New air transport is fully equipped with firefighting and mountain rescue equipment. The rescue helicopter is provided with 2 engines and a unique “Fenestron” enclosed tail rotor, increasing the safety of the flight. Helicopter tail has been improved both in terms of aerodynamics and flight safety.
It is characterized by maneuverability and is fully compatible with the existing tasks, considering the mountainous terrain of Georgia.
The pilots and flight technicians of the Border Police Special Purpose Aviation Division received theoretical and practical training at the “Airbus Helicopters” Training Academy in Germany.
The modern, "H 145" helicopter of European standard is one of the latest models manufactured by the French company "Airbus Helicopters", which was delivered to the Georgian side at the "Airbus Helicopters" plant in Germany.
The next two aerial transportation means are planned to be handed over to the Georgian side till June 2024.
