At the UEFA 2024 European Football Championship, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Federal Police initiated the protection and security measures of the football matches held within the framework of the European Championship during the participation period of the Georgian national team - from June 14 to June 30.
Two employees of the administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia worked continuously at the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC EURO2024).
Herewith, two employees of Tbilisi Police and Adjara Police Departments participated in the support operations of the respective units of the local police in the stadiums, as a mobile group during the matches of the Georgian national team - in the gathering places of fans of the Georgian national team and in the marches organized by them.
On the daily basis, ten employees of the Patrol Police Department assisted German police officers in effective communication with Georgian fans and maintaining law and order at the airports and railway stations of different cities.
