The Deputy Minister of Interior of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri and the Head of the MIA Border Police of Georgia, Colonel Zurab Gamezardashvili, alongside with the other Border Police Officials are paying official visit to the United States of America. The visit is held in the frame of the US State Department’s Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) Program. The purpose of the visit is to provide the Georgian Delegation with an understanding of maintenance planning and sustainment process of the US Coast Guard.
The first meeting is scheduled at the Surface Forces Logistics Centre at USCG Base Baltimore on February 24, the Georgian visitors will be briefed about small boat product line. On February 26, the delegation is expected at the Coast Guard Base Boston to be introduced with the naval engineering department. And finally the summarizing meeting will be held at the Surface Forces Logistics Centre, at US CG Base Maiami on February 27. The official visit will be over on February 28.
