First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Shalva Bedoidze, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Butkhuzi, and other senior officials are currently in Israel on an official working visit on the basis of an official invitation from the Commissioner of the Israeli National Police, Yaakov Shabtai.
The delegation was also comprised of the Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Teimuraz Kupatadze, and the Deputy Directors, Nikoloz Samarghanishvili and Irakli Dondoladze.
Within the framework of the working visit, the Delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will conduct meetings with the Commissioner of the Israeli National Police, Yaakov Shabtai and the heads of law enforcement agencies in Israel.
Within the framework of the visit, the meetings are scheduled with the leadership of Tel Aviv Police Head Office, Israel's National Counter Terror Unit (YAMAM), the Division of Identification and Forensic Science, Control and Management Center in Jerusalem's Old City, the Training Facilities of the Border Police and Marine Police to get familiarized with the specifics of the Israeli National Police’s work.
As part of the official working visit, the parties will discuss the matter of future cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Israeli National Police.
