The Information Analytical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs presents the statistic data on the visitors having crossed the state border of Georgia during the last month, in particular:
The number of visitors in November, 2014 amounted to 402 307- less by -3,8 % than the index of the same period in 2013.
As for January-November period, the number of visits to the country amounted to 5 059 832 - more by 1,2 % than the index of the same period in 2013.
According to the new method of a conditional division, the correlation of specific number is the following:
a) Tourist - 2 071 690 visits (41, %, of general number; increase by 8 % in comparison with the same index of the last year);
b) Transit –1 023 421 visits (20,2 % of general number, decrease by -8% in comparison with the same index of the last year);
c) Other -1 964 721 visits (38,8 % of general number increase by -0,003% in comparison with the same index of the last year).
The most of the visits in November, 2014 was paid again from Turkey (-7%), Azerbaijan (-0,8%), Armenia (+2,7%), Russia (-8%) and Ukraine (-8%).Positive tendency is also preserved in connection with EU countries: in terms of the increasing number of arrivals to Georgia in January-Novembr period the following countries traditionally took the leading positiosn: Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, United Kingdom (relevantly - 87%, 29%, 25%, და 12%). Central Asian countries - Kazakhstan (35%), among the countries of Eastern Europe: citizens of Belarus with 48%.
