According to the decision of the Georgian Government, entering or leaving Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi and Batumi will be prohibited for 10 days starting from 21:00 on 15 April for those who are not registered in mentioned municipalities (despite their actual place of residence).
After enactment of the imposed restrictions only those citizens will have the ability to leave upper mentioned municipalities (considering the nationwide curfew hours) who are registered in other locations with the aim to return to their places of registration. Such individuals will not be able to return to places of the actual residence located in the mentioned towns.
According to the decision of the Georgian Government, restrictions will not apply to the following cases:
✓ Movement of employees of medical facilities, given their official business;
✓ International and local freight transportation;
✓ Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, given their official business;
✓Transfer of defendants and convicts;
✓ Collection and secure transportation of cash, precious metals, and other valuables;
✓ Movement with the aim of providing electricity, natural gas, or water supplies, services related to telecommunications, postage, or waste management;
✓ Movement of media representatives with the purpose of carrying out journalistic activities;
✓ Movement with the purpose of providing ritual services - transporting or burying the deceased;
✓ Movement of international organizations for humanitarian purposes;
✓ Movement for the purpose of providing private security;
✓ Also, those entities that are carrying out economic activities permitted by the ordinance of the government, which are on the list that was agreed with the Operational Headquarters, whose movement is of critical importance while performing official duties under the state of emergency.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again calls on the citizens to follow the imposed restrictions and, abstain from movement, except for the emergency cases if necessary.
