The deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Georgia (residence in Kyiv) - Dragica Ponorac. Parties signed “The Agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of Montenegro on the Readmission of Persons Residing without Authorization”.
Above-mentioned Agreement will pave the way for further cooperation between the counties in the field of fight against illegal migration.
Aleksandre Darakhvelidze highlighted the prominence of existing visa free regime with EU member and Schengen countries and noted that Georgia attaches particular importance to the cooperation in the field of readmission of persons residing without authorization with EU member States, as well as third states.
At the end of the meeting, parties emphasized the importance of the bilateral cooperation between the countries and discussed the priorities of future collaboration perspectives.
