In order to preserve public order and prevent crime, Ministry of Internal Affairs has implemented special police control activities all across the country on February 21-22 2017 in accordance of the Law on Police.
During the special police control activities law enforcers revealed 80 criminal offences, including:
21 cases of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms, article 236;
15 cases of illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs, article 260;
11 cases of stealing, article 177;
2 cases of health injury, article 177;
1 case of damaging other’s object, article 187
5 cases of violence, article 126;
2 cases of carrying a cold steel, article 238;
Police detained two wanted persons
1182 cases of administrative offences have been registered, including:
5 cases of minor hooliganism, article 166;
24 cases of the resistance to the police, article 173;
18 cases of the resistance to the police and minor hooliganism, articles 173 and 166
18 cases of carrying a cold steel, article 181;
During special police control activities police seized firearms and ammunition from the illegal circulation, including: 1 automatic weapon, 7 pistols, 1 rifle, 2 cut gun, 5 hunting rifles, 72 detonators and 169 various bullets.
Policemen also seized drugs, including 3 packages of heroin, 125 subutex pills, 1 packages of the so called bio drug.
During police control law enforcers detained 19 persons for the criminal vionetion and 38 persons for the administrative offence.
