The officers of Samtskhe-Javakheti Main Division of Patrol Police and particularly officers working at the border crossing points attended two-day training course on identification of fake documentation with the support of the US Embassy.
The project envisages training all patrol police inspectors working at the border crossing points of the country. American trainers discussed contemporary standards of interviewing people crossing the state border. Patrol officers learned about contemporary standards of identification of fake documents and what procedures are needed for detection. Training participants also learned about new methods of identifying illegal migration, trafficking and other crime victims.
Trainings will be held for up to 800 patrol officers working at border crossing points all over the country.
