The officers of Ajara Division of Patrol Police Department as a result of searching and investigative activities detained three persons at “Sarpi” customs: Georgian citizen Giorgi Ts. (DoB 1983), Georgian citizen Naira A. (DoB 1983), and citizen of Uzbekistan Peruza K. (DoB 1987).
Investigation established that Giorgi Ts. had a special cache in the roof of his mini bus by means of which attempted to take the people covertly across the state border. Policemen detected the cache while examining the vehicle as well as Naili A and Peruz K.who were hiding in it. They attempted to illegally cross the state border.
Investigation is in progress against Giorgi Ts. on the fact of illegal crossing of the state border, article 3442 sub-paragraph A, investigation against Naira A. and Feruza K. is in progress on the fact of the attempted crossing of the state border illegally, article 19-344, II part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
