The Director of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vazha Siradze, together with the Director of Adjara Police Department, Grigol Beselia and the Head of Adjara Police Main Division of the Patrol Police Department, Giorgi Khurtsia, visited the wounded patrol inspectors in Batumi.
Vazha Siradze received information about their health condition from medics.
The Director of the Patrol Police Department wished the patrol inspectors a speedy recovery.
On January 20 of the current year, a citizen with mental problems attacked the patrol inspectors of Adjara Police Main Division of the Patrol Police Department, upon arriving on Komakhidze Street in Batumi based on a report. During the process of disarming and arresting him, the aforementioned person inflicted wounds on three patrol inspectors: Rezo Kartskhia, Ramaz Beridze, and Avtandil Dolidze.
Law enforcement officers arrested him on the spot as suspect. The wounded patrol inspectors were taken to the hospital, where they are receiving appropriate medical assistance.
