The officers of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search and investigative activities detained P.G. (DoB 1995) for the car accident that took place in Ponitchala settlement.
Committed crime envisages from 6 to 10 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainee, while driving a vehicle, crashed into a vehicle parked near to the road and 7 pedestrians: E.M. (DoB 1996), E.A. (DoB 2016), M.M. (DoB 1974), A.M. (DoB 1991), E.A. (DoB 2009), R.A. (DoB 2013) and A.M (DoB 2016). After the car accident, detainee fled from the place of crime.
The ambulance crew transferred the injured persons to the hospital. They are undergoing medical treatment at the moment.
As a result of the sustained traumas, E.M. and D.A died at the place of crime, while A.M. and M.M. died after they were transferred to the hospital.
Law enforcers managed to locate the driver and detained her on the territory of Ponitchala settlement.
Investigation is in progress under the article 128 and 276, VIII part of the criminal Code of Georgia, on the fact of abandoning a person in distress without assistance and violation of traffic safety rules that resulted in the death of two or more people.
