As a result of joint operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Detectives (Operational) and Investigation Divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a citizen of the Republic of Moldova for drug-related crimes.
E.G., born in 1985, is charged with illegal purchase, storage and preparation for sale of a large amount of drugs.
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the personal search and search activities held in detainee’s vehicle and temporary residence place, law enforcement officers also seized a large amount of “Methadone”, namely 91 packages - from the location indicated by him.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police seized an electric scale, adhesive tapes and money as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Article 260, Part VI, Subparagraph “A” and Article 18-260, Part VII, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
