As a result of jointly conducted operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Detectives (Operational) and Investigation Divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested G.Ch., born in 1982, on charges of drug trafficking.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
As a result of a personal search of the accused, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of the narcotic drug "Methadone" containing granules and powder in 138 packages as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Article 260, Part III, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
