Today, 35 kg s.c “Bio” jointly seized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia was liquidated at customs clearance zone “Tbilisi”.
In 2013-14 years 317 facts of purchasing “Bio” (plant origin smoking mean as well as powder) via Internet and mail were revealed. The fact of smuggling by the passengers was also identified. The Central Criminal Police Department of MoIA was notified about the above mentioned and the samples of drugs for further expertise were provided to it.
The influence of s. c. “Bio” is identical to the influence of natural cannabinoids and contain the substances enlisted in the I list of narcotic means restricted for circulation and approved under the Law of Georgia on “Narcotics, Psychotropic Substances, Precursors and Narcological Aid”. Regarding the mentioned the legislation was amended (in particular the amendments were made to the Law on “Narcotics, Psychotropic Substances, Precursors and Narcological Aid” and the Law on New Psychoactive Substances applicable from May 1, 2014). According to the effective legislation the mentioned drugs are subject to liquidation.
