The Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs purchased 1,000 units of fire-resistant uniforms and special equipment for the firefighters of the Fire and Rescue Department, the total cost of which is 3,491,000 GEL.
Fire-resistant uniforms and special equipment corresponding to modern standards were inspected by Temur Mghebrishvili, the head of the Emergency Situations Management Service, together with his deputy Zurab Pavliashvili and representatives of the fire-rescue forces at the base of the main department for responding to special situations. The new fire-resistant international "EN"-standard uniform-equipment will be distributed to fire-rescue units in the future.
The Emergency Situations Management Service continues to provide personnel with special uniforms, equipment and vehicles of European standards, and systematically implements new infrastructural projects as well.
