In order to improve the efficiency of search and rescue operations, the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs purchased 6 new high-speed rescue boats.
In the city of Batumi, Temur Mgebrishvili, the head of the Emergency Situations Management Service in Batumi city, hosted Tornike Rizhvadze- the chairman of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, and Archil Chikovani, the mayor of Batumi city, and introduced them to the technical capacities of new boats.
Modern boats are deployed along the Black Sea coastline and are effective both, in the sea and in the river during rescue and search operations. Boats are equipped with modern technologies as well as with water bottom scanning facilities.
