In Borjomi-Kharagauli national park, near to Abastumani, fire-extinguishing activities are held in round-the-clock regime.More than 1000 employees of the Emergency Situations Management Agency, Special Tasks Department Patrol and Criminal Police as well as Agency of Protected Areas are involved in fire-extinguishing activities.
More than 5 km length new road, leading to various directions, has already been made, enabling dozens of special technic to reach the fire pockets.
From the early morning aviation got actively involved in the fire-extinguishing activities. At this stage two Georgian, one Azebaijani and two Turkish helicopters are involved in fire-extinguishing works as well as a rescue plane.
In case if necessary, another Turkish plane and two Iranian helicopters will be involved in the operation.
Field operations center will continue operation in round-the-clock regime.
