Under the organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Us Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) are holding biological working group meeting of Interagency Coordinating Board for the fight against Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear hazards at Batumi “Radisson” hotel.
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister and chairman of Interagency Coordinating Board for the fight against CBRN hazards –Levan Izoria. Guests also listened to speeches delivered by the representatives of Us Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
At the meeting sides discussed biological part of national strategy for reduction of CBRN hazards, documents elaborated by DTRA in the field of biological security of Georgia and prospects for future cooperation with the Georgian side.
Biological safety component is one of the major points of in the sphere of CBRN security. Aim of the meeting was to support CBRN capacities of the country, elaboration of action plan for reduction of CBRN hazards, where all activities held in this direction will be defined.
