Georgian policemen contested in various types of tournament of swimming. In free style, covering 1500 meter distance Giorgi Berdzenishvili earned the silver medal. He also succeeded in “butterfly” style, 200 meter distance swimming where he won silver and 50 meter distance contest- earning bronze medal.
Another Georgian police officer Giorgi Samarghanashvili won three medals: silver in 50 meter distance swimming in upright position, silver in 100 meter distance swimming in upright position and bronze in 200 meter distance swimming in upright position. The third sportsman Levan Varamashvili won bronze medal in 100 meter distance, swimming in breaststroke style.
World Police and Fire Games is being held for the fifth time and at this moment Georgian team earned 17 medals, including 2 gold and 10 silver.
