Firemen and rescuers of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia continue to participate in liquidation and rescue measures of the consequences of the earthquake in the Republic of Turkey.
Last night, after several hours of continuous and difficult rescue operation in the city of Adiyaman, Turkey, the Georgian firefighters and rescuers pulled outrescued another person from the ruins, who was taken to a medical facility.
At the same time, 40 firefighters from Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia arrived in the Republic of Turkey. Georgian firefighters and rescuers joined the main group deployed in the city of Adiyaman for enhancing effectiveness of Georgian rescue group.
A field headquarters has been set up at the site in coordination with the operational control center of the city of Adiyaman.
According to the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Turkey immediately got involved in the rescue operation.
