Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili and Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri visited police officer Valerian Grdzelishvili at First Clinical Hospital who was wounded on April 4, as a result of the incident that took place near Varketili subway. Irakli Gharibashvili and Vakhtang Gomelauri had a conversation with the doctor and received information on the condition of health of the wounded police officer. According to the doctor, condition of health of Valerian Grdzelishvili has improved and added that everything is being done in order to save his life. Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs also met and had a conversation with family members of the wounded police officer.
According to Vakhtang Gomelauri-“It can be said that investigation is almost over, prosecutor’s office will make a statement on this topic. Search operation for locating whereabouts of this person is underway; operation is held everywhere, in regions and all across the country. You might have seen yesterday that offerender’s photos were disseminated by the TV channels, in case of noticing this person; citizens should call and assist police. We are working actively and will involve other MIA units in this operation, not only Criminal Police, but also State Security Department, Counter Intelligence will be involved. We will apply all powers we have in order to cover the whole country”.
