"I am glad that I took part in this very important event along with Mr. Vakhtang, as you know, based on our initiative, we launched the construction of a police city, designed for more than 1000 policemen. You can see that the works have already started, the construction company made a promise that very soon, approximately in two years, the construction will be finished and apartments will be handed over to 1000 policemen. I would also like to inform you that the cost of the project amounts to 125 million GEL, the policemen will pay a symbolic price, I would say 300 GEL per square meter, it will be approximately like I mentioned before. What’s important is the fact that the remaining expenses will be fully covered by the state, the ministry. I would like to inform our hero policemen, who make us all feel proud that this project will not be a one-time project, the construction of police cities will continue in the future, and my wish is that it be guaranteed at the legislative level - that's what I wanted to say.Once again I would like to thank our hero policemen for everything they do to protect our country. It is our duty to make our country safe, our citizens and our government had the duty to do the best for our hero police officers. Many thanks to Mr. Vakhtang and each policeman,"- stated Irakli Garibashvili.

As Mr. Prime Minister has already announced, 1000 apartments will be handed over to our policemen. The project will be completed in about two years. It is very important for all of us and most importantly, you’ve also heard that it is not a single project, it will continue and in the future, apartments will be given to our police officers within the frames of another project as well. I would like to express my appreciation to the government and the Prime Minister for their support," - stated the Minister of Internal Affairs.
