The officers of Telavi Regional Division of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-investigative activities on the fact of intentional serious damage of health detained G.A. (DoB: 1979). The crime committed by him envisages imprisonment from 3 to 6 years in length.
The investigation established that on May 20 of the current year, in Telavi, the offender during the verbal conflict inflicted body injuries with a cold arm to G.B. (DoB: 1992) and escaped from the scene. The injured individual was transferred to a medical facility. His life is not in danger.
As a result of immediate searching and investigative activities the law enforcers detained G.A. in Telavi. The weapon of the crime – knife – was seized by the police as material evidence.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of intentional serious damage to health (I part of the Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
