The employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative measures and investigative actions detained previously convicted R.G. (DoB 1998) on charges of premeditated murder against a family member.
The committed crime envisions from 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The investigation established that on February 23 of the current year, in a residential apartment located in Tbilisi, on the basis of the existing conflict, detainee lethaly wounded his father - G.G. (DoB 1974) with a cold steel. The wounded man died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
Police detained R.G. in the vicinity of the crime place as an accused person.
Law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime - a knife as evidence.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 109 (11) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, subsection "k", which refers to premeditated murder committed against a family member under aggravating circumstances.
