The officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained three people - B.L. (DoB 1988), B.Kh. and L.R. (DoB1977) within the frames of the ongoing investigation of the case of premeditated murder that took place on Gazapkhuli Street, Tbilisi on October 18 of the current year.
The investigation established that B.L. shot a foreign citizen, A.Sh. (DoB 1994) several times from a firearm on October 18 the current year on Gazapkhuli Street, Tbilisi. As a result of the received wounds the victim died at the place of crime. The investigation also found out that after committing the crime, B.L. left the scene by a car operated by B.Kh. and told B.Kh. regarding the murder committed by him.
As a result of operative measures taken by the law enforcers, B.L. was arrested while trying to jump out of a window of his apartment before the search activities.
Police seized drugs in especially large quantities during his personal search.
Within the frames of the ongoing investigation into the case of premeditated murder, law enforcement officers searched the apartment of B.Kh.'s friend- L.R., in order to obtain additional evidences.
The law enforcers found out that B.Kh. was hiding in L.R’s apartment, who activated a hand grenade in the course of investigative activities and threw it to the direction of the law enforcers mobilized in the yard of the residential building. Later on, in order to escape from the scene, B.Kh. jumped on the balcony of other apartment.
Police arrested B.Kh. while trying to escape from the neighboring apartment and removed another hand grenade as a result of his personal search.
The grenade activated by B.Kh. to the direction of the law enforcers was later defused by the miners.
The apartment owner – L.R. offered resistance to the police officers and interfered in the detention process of B.Kh.
He was arrested on the spot for resisting the police. During his personal search, drugs in especially large quantities were seized by police.
The investigation is underway under Articles 108, 19-3531, 353, 236, 260 and 375 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
