The employees of Kutaisi City Police Division of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational search measures and investigative actions, detained D.Z. (DoB 1977) - on charges of coercion against a minor, and G.R. (DoB 1988) for another act of sexual nature. The mentioned persons were detained at different times in Kutaisi.
During the investigation, it was established that D.Z. offered to drive the minor girl to the destination by car in the neighborhood of one of the schools in Kutaisi, Gumathesi settlement, and after driving a certain distance, forced her to hand over her mobile phone.
Law enforcement officers, as a result of complex operational measures and investigative actions, detained D.Z. shortly after committing the crime.
As for the second defendant - G.R., he was arrested by the law enforcement officers in the vicinity of one of the schools when he was having conversations of sexual character with schoolchildren and asking them to touch his genitals with their hands.
The investigation into the facts of another act of sexual nature and coercion are in progress under Articles 150 and 138 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
