The officers of Samtskhe-Javakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained J.G.(DoB 1976) for domestic violence and threat against family member.
The committed crime envisages from 1 to 3 years of imprisonment.
As a result of investigative activities held on the basis investigative activities it was established that detainee has physically and verbally assaulted his wife - L.M. (DoB 1987) and his child S.G. (DoB 2009) in the attendance of an under-aged child. The incident took place in the house of the accused person, located in village Sviri, Akhaltsikhe municipality.
Investigation has also found out that detainee threatened his wife with a firearm and axe in the attendance of his under-aged child.
During the search activities police seized a firearm and axe from the detainee’s house as evidence.
Investigation on the fact of domestic violence and threat against family member is in progress under the article 151, II part, sub-paragraph “D” and article 1261, II part, sub-paragraphs “A” and “C” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
