The officers of the Unit for the Fight against Illegal Drug Circulation under Detectives’ Division of Adjara Police Department and Khelvachauri Police Division, as a result of joint investigative activities held on the basis of the operative information, detained D.K. (DoB: 1987) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
The crime committed envisages the imprisonment from 8 to 20 years or life imprisonment. Law enforcers managed to detain D.K. in Gonio village. Police officers established that the detainee had a specially made hidden storage in the travel bag handle. As a result of the search activities, police seized 33,421 gr. of drug substance containing “Heroin”.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, envisaged by the article 260, part VI, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
