The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze hosted the members of the Defense and Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and the confidence group at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Aleksandre Darakhvelidze and the Rector of the Academy - Ivane Papiashvili, along with the deputies, familiarized members of the Georgian Parliament regarding the activities of the Academy.
The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is the first vocational school awarded with ISO Certificate of Quality Management in Education in 2020. The Parliament Members also received information on how the students at the MIA Academy are accepted, the ongoing study process, what are the study programs, what benefits are available for students of the Academy, and what are the future plans of the educational institution.
The MP’s got acquainted with the training process, viewed the simulation training space, outdoor sports space, “Shoot House” - tactical space, virtual shooting range, a new shooting range in line with modern standards, mock border checkpoint, an examination center, and the MIA archive.
The guests of the academy laid a wreath at the memorial to the policemen killed in the war for the territorial integrity of Georgia.
