In accordance with the decision of Interagency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease and actively monitor the citizens, special police infrastructure has been arranged in Shroma village- Ozurgeti municipality, Chkonagora and Chochkhati villages- Lanchkhuti municipality and the village of Orsantia- Zugdidi municipality of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region.
Special infrastructure was set up in the above-mentioned villages of Guria region. The staff of the Emergency Situations Management Service has also arranged field tents on the territory of the mentioned sites.
Under the decision of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council, citizens entering or leaving the territory of the premises are subjected to on-site thermal screening and testing if necessary. The movement to and from the mentioned villages is not restricted, no other strict quarantine restrictions are imposed.
Police are conducting measures against the spread of COVID-19 with the staff of the National Center for Disease Control.
Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conduct intensive patrolling of the village to maintain public order and security. Law enforcement officers will provide the local population with relevant information regarding the ongoing preventive measures to prevent the spread of the virus and assist them if necessary.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to demonstrate high public responsibility, wear face masks and comply with mentioned regulations. All persons on the territory of Georgia must follow requirements of the Georgian legislation on public health.
