The officers of the Adjara Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained two people for drug crime in Batumi at different times as a result of operative-investigative measures.
For illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities the following persons were detained: K.B. (DoB 1975) and foreign citizen Sh.M. (DoB 1974).
The committed crime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.
During the personal search of K.B and his temporary place of residence in Batumi, the law enforcers seized buprenorphine containing, 303 pills of "Suboxin" drug as evidence.
During the search activities held in second detainee’s truck, police seized buprenorphine containing 112 pills of "Suboxin" as evidence.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities under Article 260, Part VI, Subparagraph "A" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
