The NATO Assessment Team is visiting Georgia within the frames of an official 4-day visit. Delegation is led by Frank Boland, the Director of Planning Directorate of the NATO Headquarters. The visit aims at reviewing and updating existing Partnership Goals (PGs) of the Planning and Review Process (PARP).
Generally, the PARP itself represents a two-year process and the PGs are reviewed once in two years. An assessment of the progress in achieving these goals is conducted annually.
Assessment Team met with the representatives of different units of the ministry. During the meeting the Partnership Goals and broadening of spheres of cooperation with the Alliance was discussed. This cooperation framework supports the transformation and enhancement of security forces interoperability with NATO that accelerates Georgia`s integration process into the Alliance.
Herewith, head of the Delegation Mr. Boland also held meeting with the Deputy Minister of MIA – Mr. Davit Khutsishvili.
