Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Archil Talakvadze along with Ministry representatives held meeting with non-governmental and diplomatic corps representatives at NATO Liaison Office, where Deputy Minister reviewed reforms implemented within the agency. At the meeting Deputy Minister reviewed issues connected with: separation of functions, accountability and control mechanisms, further enhancement of analytical functions and other topics. He also provided answers to the questions raised by the non-governmental organizations and discussed remarks.
In parallel with the parliamentary discussions, such meetings once again highlight the level of preparedness of the government to cooperate with the non-governmental organizations. Archil Talakvadze named a number of recommendations and remarks, shared and taken into account by the government while elaborating and discussing the reform project.
The meeting was attended by head of NATO Liaison Office in Georgia William Lahiu, Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Georgian Parliament Vakhtang Khmaladze and Secretary of the Security Council Irine Imerlishvili. From the side of the Ministry the meeting was attended by the Head of Reforms and Development Agency under MIA Irakli Beraia, the Head of Legal Department of MIA Zviad Okropiridze and Director of International Relations Department Shalva Kvinikhidze.
