In Mtskheta-Mtianeti region drug test service was opened which was not functional in the region till up to date. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of Expert-Forensic Main Division Nugzar Sujashvili, Head of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Main Division Ivane Zurabishvili and other representatives of the agency. New building is equipped contemporary infrastructure and latest technic.
The Drug Test Service detects the presence of the narcotic means including psychotropic substances in the blood via the newest drug tests. The narcologists also conduct clinical tests to reveal drug intoxication.
Besides the mentioned the criminalistics group in charge for dactyloscopic and habitoscopic expertise works in the place. The Forensic Service is equipped with a system connected to the joint base ensuring operative identification of a person and comparison of fingerprints and photos with the database. New Drug Test Service will serve for Mtskheta-Mtianeti law enforcement units.
