The officers of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative and search activities detained M.M. (DoB 1987) in Dedoplistskaro for the attempted murder.
Committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that due to the conflict, detainee inflicted multiple stab-wounds to his neighbor with a cold steel – D.K. (DoB 1967). As a result of immediate police activities, law enforcers managed to detain M.M. shortly after the crime.
D.K. is the specialist employed in the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and during the incident he was not fulfilling his official duties. The wounded person has been transferred to the hospital, where he is undergoing relevant medical treatment.
The weapon of crime – knife was seized by police as evidence.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted murder, article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
