As a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted at different times, officers of the Investigation and Detective Divisions of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as Lagodekhi Police Department, have arrested 2 individuals on charges of drug-related crimes.
The following persons are detained on charges of illegal purchase, storage, sale and attempted sale of narcotics: G.K., born in 1999, and G.M., born in 1956, who have multiple previous convictions.
The committed crime envisions up to 15 years of imprisonment.
Based on a judge's ruling, the police conducted undercover drug purchases from G.M., who was arrested on charges of illegal drug sales, several times and secretly recorded the aforementioned purchases.
As a result of the personal search and search activities held in their residential homes, law enforcement officers also seized "heroin" and "dried marijuana" as evidence from the locations indicated by them. The police also seized an electric scale as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 273-(1) and 19-273-(1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
