Within the frames of the social campaign initiated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze, jury meeting was held to discuss contest results which were announced for citizens and journalists. Jury members evaluated submitted materials and revealed winners. Their names will be made public in the following days.
Best journalists were revealed by the jury according to their materials. Materials were evaluated by members of special jury group, namely: head of MIA Public Relations Department Nino Giorgobiani, head of Project Management Division of International Relations Division Maka Peradze, head of Patrol Police Faculty of Professional Training Division Nodar Saakashvili, chairperson of “National network for the Protection from Violence” non-governmental organization Nato Shavlakadze, representative of UN Women Gvantsa Asatiani, psychologist Tea gogotishvili, writer Dato Turashvili and TV presenter Irakli Chikhladze.
Today citizens who won the contest for the best slogan, logo and photo were also named. Winners were revealed according to the number of “likes” after posting contest materials on the page of the official “facebook” page of the Ministry.
Winners will be awarded by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and UN Women organization with certificates and prizes. Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with other state agencies launched the social campaign against domestic violence –“No to Violence” with the support of the US Embassy on November 25.
