The employees of Samtredia Police Division and Kutaisi City Division of Imereti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of joint investigative activities and operational measures detained O.M. (DoB 2003), R.A. (DoB 2006) and previously convicted and currently on probation G.Kh (DoB 2006) committing multiple thefts in group.
The committed crime envisions up to 10 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that in Imereti region, detainees transacted cash into their accounts through the depositing machines in different areas, and later, unlawfully appropriated money by damaging the machine.
As a result of investigative activities and operational measures conducted into the case, the police arrested O.M., R.A. and G. Kh. as accused persons.
Law enforcement officers seized the part of the stolen money as evidence.
The investigation is being conducted under the second, third and fourth parts of Article 177 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
