Minister of Internal Affairs visited Rukhi watch tower near the conflict region in Zugdidi and met the soldiers of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs ensure security and crime prevention at Rukhi watch tower.
Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, along with the Deputy Ministers also visited the II Division of Samegrelo Special Tasks Department. The Minister of Internal Affairs viewed the soldiers' living conditions and the infrastructure of the base. Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili spent one day with soldiers and personally got familiarized with the details of their working process and daily life.
As a result of the reforms implemented within the Special Tasks Department of the MIA, the personnel’s social conditions have been improved, health services of the Department developed and equipped with modern equipment as well as the command and special-purpose vehicles equipped with the appropriate communication and management means; the mentioned significantly improved the employees' working conditions and safety control.
The Minister of Internal Affairs thanked the employees of the Special Tasks Department for their meritorious performance at the watch towers adjacent to the line of the occupied territories of Georgia.
