In the premises of the Division for Military Training and Retraining of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA, located in Ialghuja, the structural units of the MIA held joint exercise for combating organized crime.
The event was attended by Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs, members of the Government of Georgia, the Director of the USA Georgia Public Safety Training Center, Police adviser of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the Embassy of the USA, the representatives of EU, Embassies accredited in Georgia, diplomatic corps and other officials.
The event organized by the Special Tasks Department aimed at raising the coordination between the structural units, performance of the headquarters and management, which will improve the control over the public security and assist the fight against crime. The exercise was participated by: the Division for Military Training and Retraining of the Special Tasks Department, Strategic Facilities Protection Department, Border Police, Forensic-Criminalistic Service, Patrol Police Department, Criminal Police Department and Emergency Situations Management Agency.
At the end of the event the guest visited the exhibition of armor, weapons and different type of equipment.
