Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia visited the Gendarmerie General Inspectorate of Romania during his official visit to Bucharest. Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili met the Inspector of the Gendarmerie - Brigadier General Marin Andreina and other officials.
The Romanian party made presentation on the specificity of the activities of the Romanian Gendarmerie for the Minister of Internal Affairs and Georgian delegation and talked in details about the goals and functions of the Agency.
At the meeting the parties focused on the issues of cooperation between the relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the General Inspectorate of Gendarmerie of Romania.
Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili stressed the significance of sharing experience and information in police field and strengthening of international cooperation in combat the global challenges.
The Romanian party expressed its desire for deep and comprehensive cooperation with the Georgian counterparty and invited Georgian officers to the advanced training courses planned in Gendarmerie in September, 2016.
After the meeting the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia had a tour around the infrastructure and the equipment of Romanian Gendarmerie. The General Inspectorate organized the special exhibition training for Georgian delegation. Simulated training demonstrated the key designation of the Agency.
Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili made the special record in the Memory Book of the Romanian Gendarmerie.
