Minister of Internal Affairs Girgi Mgebrishvili held meeting with the ambassador of Poland -Mariush Mashkievich.
Minister of Internal Affairs thanked Polish Government for contributing to the Euro-Integration and Visa-Liberalization process.
At the meeting Giorgi Mgebrishvili acquainted the ambassador with the scheduled and implemented reforms, including high-tech and multi-functional Joint Operations Center, which is aimed to increase the role of high technologies in police activities and crime prevention.
“Ministry of Interior of Poland strongly supports our reforms through the exchange of information and sharing experience. Cooperation in the border and migration management spheres should be particularly pointed out. Besides bilateral cooperation, development of the partnership is also important within the regional context. I would like to point out our future cooperation with EUROPOL, which will be based on the agreement on operative and strategic cooperation, concluded between Georgia and EUROPOL,”-stated Minister of Internal Affairs.
Minister outlined close and productive cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Poland in the fight against crime, which is being implemented on the bases of the agreement concluded in the police sphere between the two countries.
At the meeting productive cooperation of the Georgian police attache in Poland was outlined, providing fast and efficient cooperation with Polish National Police. According to Giorgi Mgebrishvili, appointment of the police attaches in the partner states brought positive results with regard to the enhancement of police cooperation in the sphere of the fight against the organized crime.
