Working meeting about the Investigative System Reform held with the support of the EU's project “Supporting the criminal justice reforms. The event was headed by the Deputy Head of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Nino Tsatsiashvili. During the meeting, the participants discussed the issue of developing an action plan for the correct implementation of the investigative reform by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will allow the system to properly prepare for the implementation of the reform. According to the recommendation of the Venice Commission, The Ministry of Internal Affairs should implement the relevant action plan reflecting the measures necessary for the successful implementation of the reform in practice. Also it is important to gradually establish strong legislative guarantees to ensure an effective and impartial investigation and to maintain a balance in determining investigative and prosecutorial powers. For implementing of abovementioned document, within the framework of EU's project “Supporting the criminal justice reforms”, the expert has been invited to assist in drafting this document of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
